Thanks for the video, but “please trust me, please beleve me” is not what we want to hear. We want to see how it actually works. Currently I’m new to child themes, but in other video I have heard that you can not have funcions with same name. PHP does not work like that – it does not override. The only reason your code would work is that in parent functions.php you have a condition just before the function you was going to replace. That condition was checking if such function is already exists.
Overall I feel like I’m geting half of information here.
During the cacheing problem I was screaming at the screen, ‘server cache!’ My question is how did you get the menu item, purge SG cache, in your menu bar? I’m assuming SG is the name of your hosting company.
